Facility Rentals
Corporate Events, Weddings, Birthdays, Memorials, Classes, Dinners, and Meetings of all types
SMRPD opens its facilities to rentals for canyon and non-canyon residents. Buildings can be rented individually or together; parks can also be rented. All renters must complete a Facilities Use Application. Links to the application forms as well as information about rental costs are linked below on this page.
Sponsored Events
SMRPD also makes facilities available to groups that wish to sponsor events that are of interest and open to residents of the canyons that we serve. If you are considering a class, activity, or event, please inquire at events@smrpd.org (note that approval of sponsorship requests may take up to a month).
Reserving a Facility
If you would like to use our facilities for an event, please first identify which of our facilities would best serve your needs. The links below will take you to our calendar of events, where you can determine when events have already been scheduled, and to our price list, if you are not proposing a sponsored event.
Once you are ready to reserve a facility, please choose either the Standard Facility Reservation form, for sponsored activities, or private events that are less than eight. For weddings or events that need facilities for longer than 8 hours, please choose the Weddings and Special Event Reservation form.
Other Important Things
Approvals Reservations are on a first come, first served basis and only become final upon approval by Board of Directors and payment of any facility use fee and deposit. For most reservations, approval can be provided within 5 working days. Sponsored events and large or special events require full board approval; the board meets on once a month, usually on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
Liability Insurance Unless specifically waived, liability insurance is required holding SMRPD harmless for all events. This may be purchased through Event Helper or another outside insurer, alternatively a certificate of insurance (COI) may be available -- often at no or minimal charge -- as an add-on to the sponsor's homeowner's or renter's insurance (the COI must include an endorsement specifically naming SMRPD additional insured and conform to our requirements).
Alcohol If you plan to serve alcohol at your event, please read the SMRPD alcohol policy. Be aware that serving alcohol may require special liability insurance coverage.
Amplified Sound If your event will involve amplified sound, please read the SMRPD policy on amplified sound.
